Fri nite after a hard rain in Texas under a full moon...well, out in the boonies is where things Happen. Band was out there, and walking across the wide expanse toward the Bandcave I heard a strange sound, like the grass squishing under my feet, but all around me. When I stopped, I heard it clearly: the ground was bubbling. Everywhere. Saturated. Awesome! I was waiting for the mutant earthworms to drag me under. Since I'm writing this now tho, *SPOILER* -- they did not. Then before we played, I went out back and heard an even heavier jam going on. Frogs. Frogs, yo. Thousands of them, right out yonder toward the bottomlands, croaking their thang, spittin' they game. I spent a long time listening. I could feel where they were coming from after awhile. Really it's all just the blues, innit? And they were getting it done their way, like I do mine. That's where "Fifty Thousand Frogs" comes from, and from there, three more new tunes. Extricating the profound from the simple. I hope I never take for granted how easy it is to make music with Band. There's no 1-2-3-4 lets stop and try that again...it is just pure flow-stream head-share mind-funk. The guys can play...love em love em love em. These things just write/right themselves. I want to say more about some stuff right now...but the time to say more will come, and I am happy enough with the knowledge of that time approaching to be content with holding my peace about it for the moment...

All the cool kids are doing it. So what am I...CHICKEN??? anyway. this is the Sleeper Blog, lying dormant for many a month, until the two diminutive Japanese Mothra chicks sang their mighty song, bastardized from old classics by Shonen Knife and Pink Lady, and magically this here LJ did spring to life and begin chanting sets of numbers on all the shortwave channels. But now it's back. From Hell's heart. To stab at thee, o gentle reader!! I understand you're supposed to lay down the whole rap about What's Going On in your Terribly Important Life right here. That shouldn't take long...I am doing absolutely Nothing. And it is Everything i thought it could be. woo yay. Oh and I met somebody cool. I could ramble on and on like a cipher moving like a rolling stone in the darkest depths of Morrr-dorrrr about that one--and probably will! soon!--but for now let's just say hi, wassup, this LJ is clean, back in bidness, keep the introductories brief. Then a flash, then the ice weasels do their night prowlin, THEN the nitty gritty. so hi again. If I added you as a friend and you're like "who the hell is this", it's me yo! That one dude, you remember...from that one place.
